Turn your iPhone, iPad or Android phone into a second monitor
for your edit, live over your own network. No app to install.
macOS 14 or later · Windows 10 or later
Real time
Color, effects, titles, trims: every change in Premiere Pro or After Effects streams to the phone in real time. No exporting, no waiting.
Sequences
Open another sequence or composition and the phone is already showing it, at its own aspect ratio. Nothing to restart or reconnect: the phone always follows the active one.
Sound
A mix that sounds right on studio monitors can sound different on a phone. Tap the speaker and the timeline plays through the phone itself, the way your audience hears it.*
* Premiere Pro only. After Effects does not stream sound yet.
Every device
An iPhone, an iPad, an Android phone, a laptop: anything with a web browser can watch, with nothing to install. Scrub the playhead and every one of them follows. As many at once as you like in the full version.
The computer and the phone on the same Wi-Fi. Nothing to set up. The phone opens the computer’s address, or connect.tethery.app in the full version, and the picture goes straight between them.
Both join a network one of your own devices puts on the air: a phone’s hotspot, or the computer’s own. Works where there is no Wi-Fi at all.
A cable between the computer and the device, or both on a wired network. No Wi-Fi to get in the way.
Your computer and your phone on one private network over the internet, so they connect whether they are in the same building or on opposite sides of the world. It gets through office and hotel networks that keep devices apart.

No. The phone and the computer only have to reach each other: the same Wi-Fi, a hotspot or a cable, with or without the internet behind it. You need the internet once, to activate a license, and when the phone watches through connect.tethery.app or from somewhere else.
Yes. A license is for one person and has two seats: two computers, Mac or Windows in any mix. Free a seat from the panel on the computer you are leaving, or from your account page if you no longer have it, and use it on another.
Office, hotel and campus networks often do. A cable, a hotspot or Tailscale gets around it, and Help walks you through each.
Yes, for as long as you like. The free version is a working Tethery: the same live picture, with a watermark, on one device at a time and up to 1080p. It includes the connect.tethery.app link, and two minutes of the full version every day, counted only while you play. A license removes the watermark and unlocks sound, several devices at once, resolutions above 1080p, saving frames to the phone and session notifications.
The picture is. Tethery labels the stream Rec. 709, the standard for HD video, and phone browsers honor the label: in our tests the frames reached the phone within a couple of levels of what the timeline rendered, as close as 8-bit video gets, with no tint of Tethery’s own. What is left is the screen, which a phone adjusts by itself. Turn off True Tone, Night Shift and auto-brightness on an iPhone or iPad; on Android, turn off adaptive brightness and the blue-light filter and set the color mode to Natural.
No. The picture goes straight from your computer to your phone. Even through connect.tethery.app, only the page and the handshake that connects them pass through us, never a frame.
