Tethery 0.1.5

The newest version, for Premiere Pro and After Effects. Already using Tethery? Run the installer over the version you have, and your license carries over.

  1. 0.1.5

    Mac, macOS 14 or laterWindows, Windows 10 or later

    • Try the full version free for two minutes every day: a clean picture with no watermark, full resolution, sound, and more than one phone or tablet. The minutes count only while you play or scrub, so pausing to look never uses them.
    • Your phone shows how much of the full version is left while you try it, and tells you when it comes back.
    • Get the full version straight from your phone: it’s at the top of the phone’s controls on the free version.

    Bug fixes

    • Fixed the phone briefly treating a free computer as licensed while Premiere Pro or After Effects was in the background, which unlocked Save frame and hid the way to upgrade until the app came back.

    Windows, Windows 10 or later

    The Windows installer now fits its window to your display scale and text size, so every screen shows in full.

    Bug fixes

    • Fixed the Windows installer cutting off the bottom of its window when Windows’ text size is set above 100%, which hid the Open Premiere Pro and Open After Effects buttons when the install finished.

    When Tethery can’t be installed, the installer now says why: Install turns grey, and a note beneath it names what’s missing, with a link to help.

    Bug fixes

    • Fixed the Windows installer not offering Install when Premiere Pro or After Effects is installed somewhere other than C:\Program Files\Adobe, such as another drive.

    • The free version now uses the Online link: scan the panel’s QR code and the picture opens on your phone at connect.tethery.app, with no address to type.
    • Switching between Premiere Pro and After Effects on your phone is now free too.
    • Send a report when something isn’t working: say what happened, add your email, and we’ll reply. It’s at the bottom of the Problems tab in the panel’s help.

    Bug fixes

    • Fixed video not starting on phones that won’t play it by themselves, such as an iPhone in Low Power Mode. The phone now shows Tap to start the picture.
    • Fixed Online sessions getting stuck when your computer’s connection dropped without warning. Tethery now reconnects by itself with the same code.
    • Fixed sessions breaking when your computer got a new network address. The session now moves with it and keeps its code.
    • Fixed phones waiting up to ten seconds on the Online link when a computer had stopped answering.

    • Update from the panel: when a new version is out, Tethery shows what’s new and installs it for you.
    • What’s new is in the panel’s help, and the version you have sits beside the logo.
    • Setup has a guide for each thing: the first-time setup, resolution, bitrate and the sync offset, and on the phone, the Home Screen and notifications.
    • On the phone, scan the panel’s QR code from inside Tethery, with the new camera button.
    • Updating keeps your license, and the installer lists what this computer is licensed for.
    • Paste your license key straight into the installer.

    Bug fixes

    • Update notices match your computer, Mac or PC, and now reach After Effects too.
