Tethery license agreement

This agreement is between you and Sonder Media House, LLC ("we"). It covers Tethery for Premiere Pro and Tethery for After Effects (each, and both together, "Tethery"): the plug-in, the panel, Tethery Helper, the viewer page and the online services that go with them. By installing or using Tethery you agree to it.

01 The free version

You may install and use the free version on any number of computers, at no charge. The free version marks the picture with a watermark and has the other limits described on our pricing page.

A paid license is for one person. That person may activate it on up to two computers they use, Mac or Windows in any mix, for example a desktop and a laptop. It is not for sharing with other people, and not for a pool of computers used by different people.

A license is one-time: you pay once, and updates to Tethery are free for as long as we make it. Updates means fixes, improvements to what Tethery does, and support for new versions of Premiere Pro, After Effects and your computer's operating system.

Separate products and services we may offer later are not part of your license, and may be sold separately, including by subscription. That includes services with ongoing running costs, such as carrying the picture through our servers, and tools beyond what Tethery is for, such as ones for working with other people. Everything included when you bought stays included.

Each license is for the host application it names. A license for Premiere Pro does not cover After Effects, or the other way around. The bundle is two licenses, one for each.

03 What you may not do

  • Remove, hide or work around the watermark, the license check or any other limit of the free version.
  • Share, sell or publish your license key or license file.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or modify Tethery, except where the law allows it despite this agreement.
  • Use Tethery's online services in a way that harms them or other people using them.

04 Online services

Activation and the permanent session link at connect.tethery.app use our servers, and session notifications are only sent for a session on that link. We aim to keep them running but do not promise they will always be available.

A license renews itself through our servers whenever Tethery is open on a computer that is online. A computer can go 30 days without reaching them, and Tethery keeps working on your own network in that time; after 30 days without renewing, it works as the free version until the computer is online again. A license that has been refunded, or a computer that has been deactivated, is not renewed. If we ever stop running these services, we will first release an update that lets licenses keep working without them.

05 Ownership

We own Tethery. You get a license to use it, not ownership of it. The Tethery name and logo are ours. Adobe, Premiere Pro and After Effects are trademarks of Adobe, which does not make or endorse Tethery.

06 Refunds and ending the license

Refunds are covered by our refund terms. A refunded license ends, and so does any license used against this agreement. When a license ends you must stop using the paid features and remove the license from your computers.

07 No warranty

Tethery is a preview tool. A phone or tablet is a preview display, not a reference monitor, and Tethery does not make it one. Tethery is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

08 Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for your license.

09 Payment

Purchases are made through Stripe. Stripe is the seller of record of your purchase: it takes the payment and handles sales tax and VAT, and its terms of sale also apply to the purchase. This agreement covers your use of Tethery.

10 Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, and disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Georgia. Nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer that cannot be taken away, including the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
