Affiliate Terms

Last updated November 3, 2026

Creators who recommend Tethery earn a share of every sale they bring. These terms say how a sale is credited to you, what you earn, when you are paid, and what we ask in return. The Terms and Conditions also apply.

01 The program

The affiliate program is run by Sonder Media House, LLC ("Sonder", "we", "us"), which makes Tethery. It is by invitation. When you join, we give you a link of your own, such as tethery.app/yourname, and later a code buyers can type at checkout. You take part as an independent business, not as our employee, agent or partner, and nothing here lets you speak for us.

02 What you earn

  • Your share. 25% of what the buyer paid, less any sales tax or VAT included in the price, unless we have agreed a different rate with you by email. A change of rate applies to sales made after it.
  • Which sales. A sale is yours when the buyer uses your code, or buys within 60 days of following your link, or within 60 days of downloading Tethery after following your link. If more than one applies, a code comes first, then the most recent link.
  • One creator per sale. Each sale is credited to one creator only, and once.
  • Not your own. Purchases you make yourself, with your own email address, link or code, earn nothing.
  • Our records decide. Which sales are credited, and to whom, is decided by tethery.app's records. Tracking can miss a sale, for example when a browser blocks it or the buyer moves to another device without your code.

03 Getting paid

  • Waiting period. Your share of a sale waits 60 days, the time in which a sale can be refunded. A sale refunded or disputed in that time earns nothing.
  • Monthly. We pay once a month what has passed its waiting period, once your balance reaches $25. A smaller balance carries over to the next month.
  • How. We pay in US dollars, to the bank account or payment service we agree with you. Any fee your bank or service charges to receive it is yours.
  • Tax. Before your first payment we need a completed W-9 if you are in the US, or a W-8BEN if you are not. You are responsible for your own taxes on what you earn. If you are in the US and we pay you $2,000 or more in a year, we report it to the IRS on Form 1099-NEC.

04 Saying you earn

Whenever you recommend Tethery with your link or code, say clearly that you earn from purchases, where people will see it before they buy: in the video or post itself, not only in a profile. "I earn a commission if you buy through my link" is enough. The US Federal Trade Commission requires it, and so do the rules of most countries and platforms.

Describe Tethery honestly. Say only what you know to be true from using it, and do not call a phone or tablet a calibrated reference monitor, because Tethery does not make it one.

05 What is not allowed

  • Buying through your own link or code, or having someone buy for you to earn the share.
  • Search ads on the word Tethery, or on names close to it.
  • Posting your code on coupon, deal or cashback sites, or in browser extensions that add codes at checkout.
  • Spam, misleading claims, fake reviews, or anything that hides that you earn from the sale.
  • Presenting yourself as Tethery or Sonder, or making a site or account that looks like ours.

If we find any of these, we may withhold the share of the sales involved and end your place in the program.

06 Our name and logo

While you are in the program, you may use the Tethery name, the logo and screenshots we provide, and the launch film, to recommend Tethery. Do not change the logo. That permission ends when your place in the program does.

07 Ending

You or we can end your place in the program at any time, by email. Sales credited before then are still paid once they pass their waiting period, unless the program ended because of something in section 05.

08 Changes to these terms

We may change these terms, the rate included. We will email you at least 14 days before a change takes effect. A change never applies to sales made before it.

09 Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, and disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Georgia. Before going to court, please write to us.
